Hey Now – it’s been awhile but here it is – another free WordPress theme for you enjoyment: Danu.

Danu is a free, W3C-compliant, CSS-based WordPress theme featuring: multiple columns for posts, custom background and headers, custom menus, widget support, custom thumbnail images, additional page templates, and much much more… You can see it in action and download it over here.

I have wanted to create a free, minimal, WordPress theme for quite a while now and it has taken me much longer to create then I would have guessed – I had to take 2 or 3 passes at it.

I think that I have kept it clean, I tried to balanced aesthetics and functionality as best I could while keeping in minimal. It loads very quickly and has a number of subtle features.

I Got an email a few years ago from a young lady named Holly that asked me if I could create a free theme that was more geared to girl-type bloggers. Since I often respond favorably to nicely written emails by ladies of all ages and since I was still building up my WordPress chops I whipped us this here 4theGirlz freeWordPress theme.

Then, during the great transition I didn’t set the 4theGirlz free WordPress theme back up figuring that it wasn’t my best work and wasn’t every very popular. But then I got this email just the other day from Cate:

Message: Hi! You had a girls free web blog posted called 4 the girlz. I wasn’t able to connect to the link. Do you still have it available? If so, can you send it to my email address. It’s really cute for my blog I am starting.

So I decided that if a theme is twice requested that it needs to available….

Hey Now – I am pleased to announce a new version of the themeorrhea free wordpress theme. While many things have changed I tried to focus on typography with this new release.

It also now features a widget to control the home page only blurb, and a simpler internal header, a cleaned up style sheet and a few modern feature additions. Follow me on twitter to keep up with when this and all of my free themes are updated.

The Was: JTk Free WordPress Theme has been updated to 2.0. This updates fixes a few minor bugs, adds supports for nested comments, tags, and widgets. I also tightened up the code a little and cleaned up this css. A simple archives and category template was added as well.

Hey Now, I am very happy to announce that I have revised the old Independence Day WordPress Theme and that while it now looks the same, it has been completely re-worked and is now a modern and functional free WordPress theme.

Cameron has taken has one of my free themes as modded it to suit his needs and he did the right thing – he credited me for the original design and he released his version to the public

Was: JTk – Right Sidebar Mod is a modified version of the Was: JTk theme by JTk and Doc5. The theme has been modified to have the sidebar on the right instead of the left. It is my first publicly available theme modification.

I created the Heckerped Free WordPress theme for a client that skipped out on me with the development files and screwed me out of payment. I asked him to either stop using it or pay up. He chose to do neither.

I had a number of options, but instead of going all negative on him I decided to light a candle instead of cursing the darkness, cauze as you know Evelle here and l never go anywhere without there’s a purpose…

The Sarchasm WordPress theme was always one of my favorites, but it was created so early in my WP career that the functionality left allot to be desired. So I decided to update it – it now plays nice with WordPress 2.3.1, tag and widget support included.

The original version was so old that I cannot begin to list all of the changes that I did for version 1.3, suffice to say that it is all but rebuilt from the ground up – and remember what the ninja said about originally:

This theme reminds me of the first time I ever skinned my knee. Wow, what an intense feeling. I can�t remember ever feeling this way. Electricity is flying through my body. Where did my Frisbee go?
